WebSENSE’s advanced Internet content screening and detailed web
content categorization capabilities are a natural complement to FireWall-1 which is now
seamlessly integrated utilizing FireWall-1 UFP interface.
WebSENSE can be set up to run on the FireWall-1 server or on a separate
server sitting behind the firewall. Configuration can be done using the same familiar
FireWall-1 GUI and rule base.
The relationship between these leading products is a major advantage to users who now have
network security and URL screening in a single package.

How it Works
WebSENSE uses a growing database containing more than 160,000 Web sites -
the largest and most comprehensive database of its kind.
The database entries fall into one of 29 categories that you can selectively turn on or
off. You decide which areas of the Internet are acceptable during business hours and which
you wish to screen.
WebSENSE'’s finely tuned categories, combined with the FireWall-1
rule base editor, allows you to customize category criteria by individual user or groups
of users.
The Internet is ever changing, so the database is constantly revised and the updated
information is automatically downloaded to your system each night.
Exclusive Technology
WebSENSE uses IP Screening, our advanced patent-pending screening
technology. IP Screening maximizes performance by pre-converting all domain names in the
database into IP addresses. This unique technology ensures WebSENSE can
keep up with your network traffic.
In addition, the database contents can be easily modified and customized to suit your
company’s individual needs.
How Sites are Added to the Database
NetPartners is committed to providing you with the most extensive database for screening
and it is our mission to make our database unsurpassed in quality and accuracy.
To that end, we do not use keywords or wild cards when adding sites. Our team of Internet
surfers personally check each site to verify that the content meets the defined category
criteria. This process ensures that only sites which actually meet the category
definitions are included.
Additionally, the WebSENSE database now has global representation.
Through cooperative efforts of our partners in Japan, Germany and France, sites in these
native languages are also included.
